Accreditation

Commitment to Quality, Safety, and Professional Excellence

IMS accreditation is the recognised standard for medical science practices and laboratories across Australia. It demonstrates your commitment to quality, safety, and professional excellence.

About Accreditation

Trusted Standards for Medical Laboratories

Show that your organisation operates with consistency, professionalism, and accountability.
Gain recognition that inspires confidence among stakeholders and healthcare partners.

IMS accreditation provides independent verification that a medical science practice or laboratory meets the professional standards set by Australia's peak body for the sector.

Accreditation is relevant to private and public laboratories, hospital-based pathology services, point-of-care testing facilities, and research settings.

Accredited organisations demonstrate to funders, regulators, patients, and referrers that their processes, personnel, and quality management systems meet a recognised national benchmark.

For staff, working in an accredited facility is a mark of professional pride — and for employers, it supports compliance with health department expectations and funding requirements.

Step-by-Step
